The Cessna T206H Turbo Stationair TC is a high-wing; six-seat light utility aircraft powered by a single 310 HP Lycoming TIO-540-AJ1A engine. The Cessna Model 206 was introduced in 1964. The Model 206 was a higher powered development of the six-seat Cessna Model 205, a derivative from Cessna 210 Centurion with fixed landing gear. The Cessna 205 was in production from 1962 to 1964 with a total production of 576 aircraft. In 1964, the basic production model U206 Super Skywagon was introduced, in 1965 followed by the luxe model P206 Super Skylane. From 1970, the U206 is known as the Stationar. The original 1964 model U206 is powered by a 285 hp (213 kW) Continental IO-520-A. The “U” designation indicated “utility” and this model was equipped with a pilot side door and large clamshell rear door serving the back two rows of seats, allowing easy loading of oversized cargo. The Cessna 206 model was built by the Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas, USA. Cessna built 5208 U206s from 1964 up until the company halted its piston production in 1986. In 1998, after a production hiatus of twelve years, Cessna started manufacturing a new version of the 206, with the introduction of the newly certified 206H. The “H” model is generally similar to the previous U206 configuration, with a pilot entry door and a rear double clamshell door for access to the middle and back seats. The "H" is marketed under the name "Stationair". On 29 July 2015, the company name changed to Textron Aviation Inc., Wichita, Kansas. The Cessna 206 is still in production as Model T206H Turbo Stationair, starting with c/n 20608354 built by Textron. Total production of the Model 206 is more than 8350.

The 2001-built Cessna T206H Turbo Stationair TC s/n T20608315 was registered N3549Q in the USA. On 18 July 2007, the aircraft was registered C-GLBR in Canada with Tod-Hackett Group. On 3 March 2011, registration C-GLBR was cancelled as exported to Belgium. On 1 June 2011, the Cessna T206H was registered OO-CAD in Belgium with CICADE, Gosselies. On 16 May 2013, registration OO-CAD was cancelled and the aircraft was registered N72RK with in the US with Aerial Imaging Inc., St. Joseph, Indiana, on 21 May 2013. However registered in the US, the N72RK is operated in Europe. In June / July 2014, camera equipment was installed in the Cessna T206H N72RK at Midden Zeeland airport in the Netherlands.
